- Your Driver’s License

The license you bring has to be issued in the same state where you are registering your Ford. Members of the military are the exception, as any state can issue their license.

- Your Proof of Insurance

The insurance card you bring has to have the same name as the person purchasing your vehicle, in addition to the name of whoever will be on the title. Your insurance card doesn’t have to be for the vehicle that you’re buying. It can be for your current vehicle as well.

- Your Registration

Bring in your registration if you are trading your current vehicle and you still have a lien against said vehicle. It also applies if you are looking to transfer the license plates you have now to your new vehicle. - Trade-in Title

If you are trading in your vehicle that doesn’t have a bank lien, this applies to you. Many states have titles that are made up of two parts, so don’t forget to bring both of those parts into Tri-County Ford.

Make sure that you bring everyone with you who needs to sign for the new Ford, which includes everybody who will be on the trade title and everyone who will be on the bank loan paperwork, including co-owners and co-signers.
